In Short
The only western ski area to straddle two states (California and Nevada), Heavenly flaunts the highest top elevation in the region (10,067 feet) and breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. It features bowls, glades and ridge tops, but is known primarily as an intermediate skier's mountain. One of the largest snowmaking systems in North America guarantees good coverage in lean snow years. In general, skiing is less crowded and snow quality is better on the Nevada side.

Insider Tips
ParkingTake the free shuttle from your hotel to avoid the parking crunch; Heavenly's shuttle system to and from area lodging is the most extensive in Tahoe.
The ExtrasThe entire South Tahoe area is your oyster here. All the big casinos, restaurants and hotels are close at hand.
Know Before You GoThe ski season varies, but generally runs from mid-November through mid-April. During summer months, take a scenic gondola ride, golf, hike or enjoy a bike ride.
Save TimeReaching the top of the California side of the mountain can take an hour on weekends. For quicker access, head for one of the Nevada bases (Stagecoach or Boulder).

out of all the places i've been snowboarding. HEAVENLY is by far the BEST. now, i plan a trip every year out there with 12 of my closest friends. the trip from FLORIDA adds extra excitment!!! although i miss not being able to go up there everyday like i did when i lived out there. :(

Weekday paradise, great cruiser, great views, great powder after big Sierra dumps. And when your done delux accommadations at good prices in casinos and with what you save you can gamble away..Super Spring area, get up early and be ready for the corn, than you can FLY!
